On the same night, and following his escape, was The Coup of Lannisport, a costly and bloody affair that resulted in the death of Lord Tytos Lannister of Lannisport, as well as the kidnapping of the Lannisport family, and over a million gold in damages. Both his sons gave themselves up willingly, and in accordance to their mother's wishes, were granted immunity.

His scheme was unfortunately (for him) revealed to Martyn Lannister by his own wife Cerissa Brax who refused to be an accomplice to his plot, and Damon was forced to flee in the night like a thief.
